Celebrating the Power of Song in Humboldt County
The Fortuna Concert Series is an eight-performance event
that runs from March until October. These professional musical programs feature talented local groups and individuals, as well as nationally and internationally known performers. The rich and diversified programming includes classical, jazz, folk, ethnic, vocal and instrumental music.
The Series is great music, performed by world class musicians, at an affordable price. The Fortuna Concert Series offers a slice of the best of life itself to the community and to those who love music. In 2013 the Series was honored by the presentation of the Floyd A. Glende Award by the Board of Directors of Chamber Players of the Redwoods. The award was given in appreciation of the work the Fortuna Concert Series does to foster chamber music and other musical genres in the North Coast region of California.
